HOMESTAY

Staying with a local homestay gives students the
opportunity to practise English in an everyday setting,
outside the classroom. Students have the opportunity
to share cultural experiences, learn more about Britain

and improve their languages skills – an experience that
will stay with them for a lifetime.

Churchill House has been providing homestay accommodation
for over fifty years and understands the importance of a safe and
friendly environment for our students. Homestay gives students
the opportunity to experience the English way of life first hand and
to practise English outside the classroom. All families providing
homestay accommodation are carefully selected by our experienced
Accommodation Managers and are revisited every year.

Our families do everything they can to welcome students to their
friendly homes and to make their stay happy and successful.
Students can choose a shared or single room – shared is usually
with a student of a different nationality so they can speak English
together.

Homestay is a safe and enriching way to learn English as such,
families provide breakfast and evening meals each day in the family
home. The families also provide a weekly personal laundry service.
Many families are within 20 minutes’ walk of the school or on the
main bus route. As you would expect, we work closely with all our
host families to ensure that all accommodation meets our very high
standards.

The welfare of our homestay students is our prime concern. From
the moment they arrive in the UK until they return home, our
experienced staff will be available to help them with any problems
they might have and encourage them to enjoy their stay with us.
